Well! What a day it was, the electoral votes are confirmed and President Trump is confirmed! After all the riots, protests, complaints, appeals and recounts – election 2016 is finally over and Trump is victorious!
But no doubt about it, this defeat was massive for Clinton, a record 304 Electoral Votes gave Trump the win. But the question we must ask is what next for Clinton? Will Clinton return to New York where she worked as a Senator or something else?
Dr Chris Warne, an independent freelance political analyst, says that this may not be the last time we see and hear of Hillary Clinton.
“Certainly, Hillary has been a very tough competitor for Donald Trump. She was comprehensively beaten via the Electoral College in November and she’s held on to the bitter end”.
But now that the Electoral College votes have come through, what happens now? Dr Warne explains “I don’t think she will go away, and I don’t think we’ve heard the last of the Russian hacking claims either, I think the American public, need to stay on their toes and continue to offer their FULL support to Donald Trump. I would not be surprised if in 2017, 2018, we are still hearing from her – if you are not a Hillary fan, it’s going to hurt your ears”.
Dr Warne joked that he was going to buy earmuffs if Hillary continued to make complaints and appear on television.
But do we need to worry about Hillary Clinton ever becoming President in 2020 or later on? Dr Warne laughs and his answer is simple – “no”. Going on to suggest, he would not surprised if Clinton eventually moves to another country in her quest for great political power.
We would be okay if she left the U.S! Would you?
