Clearly looking forward to taking the White House on January 20, Trump has been busy – getting down to work; securing everything from American jobs to enhancing our presence on the international stage.
At the top of the list has been repairing relations with our allies in Israel. Under Obama and Kerry a number of foreign policy deals such as the nuclear arms deal with Iran has frayed relations and increasingly left Israel on its own surrounded by a number of hostile muslim states.
Earlier this week Donald Trump tweeted messages showing his support for Israel and calling out Obama for inflammatory statements and for damaging relations between Israel and the United States. With the president-elect urging Israel to “stay strong” until he takes offices on Jan 20. Trump again called out the Iran deal as being harmful to US-Israel relations.
But it was Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahi whose tweet back to Trump that completely showed up Obama and Kerry – who have been made, again, to look like fools!
In response Wednesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tweeted: “President-elect Trump, thank you for your warm friendship and your clear-cut support for Israel!” The tweet included Israeli and U.S. flags and tagged two of Trump’s children, Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr.
Whew! It looks like a few leaders are taking Donald Trump’s advice and using Twitter to call out injustices and wrongs.
How great will these two leaders be when they can fully work together for the good of our nations?!
