Well, if this keeps up, Fox News won’t be mourning the loss of Megyn Kelly to NBC News for very long.
In his debut week, Carlson delivered increases in viewership of 10% overall and 12% in a highly sought after demographic. Compared to Kelly’s audience at the same time one year ago, Carlson is up 21% overall and an astounding 52% in the same demographic.
This news has to leave executives at Fox thinking ‘don’t let the door hit you on the way out’ when it comes to the loss of Kelly, who found herself the source of controversy numerous times during the presidential election.

Tucker Carlson’s new prime time show is off to a great start.
Since taking over for Megyn Kelly, who departed earlier this month for NBC News, ratings in the 9 p.m. time slot have seen double-digit increases.
In the show’s debut prime time week, “Tucker Carlson Tonight” averaged 3 million viewers and 576,000 in the key 25-54 demo, according to Nielsen Media Research.
Those numbers represented a 10% increase in total viewers over the 2016 average for “The Kelly File.” The key 25-54 demo also saw a 12% spike.
Carlson, a conservative journalist fighting an on-air war with elites, was also up 21% in total viewers from the same time last year and 52% in the key demo.
So what is Carlson’s secret?
The biggest difference thus far appears to be a willingness to expose liberals for what they are, while Kelly took a wishy-washy approach to controversial topics.
Check out this montage video of Carlson just laying waste to various liberal reporters and politicians:
With his new show on Fox, Carlson has found a knack for making liberals and Democrats squirm, stutter, and shut down. Something we all need to applaud in this day of stark media bias favoring the left.
