OMG Love! Soldier Surprises Family During Tear-Filled Reunion on Boston Celtics Court

Who doesn’t enjoy family reunions? Even better when it’s beautiful military families!

Monday was Seats for Soldiers night at Boston’s TD Garden for the game between the Celtics and the Detroit Pistons.

More than 1,600 members of the Armed Forces attended, but one in particular stole the show.

During a second quarter timeout, the family of U.S. Air Force National Guard Staff Sgt. Matthew Noll was introduced to the crowd. To their surprise, Sgt. Noll then came out of the tunnel and greeted his family on the court.

Noll had been deployed for seven months before returning home for the surprise. He has served in Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait and Qatar.

After the game, Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas commented on the military homecoming.

“That was big time,” he told reporters. “That’s probably the best feeling they’ve ever had. You could just see it; you could see them so surprised, so happy. They’re probably at a loss for words. That’s what life is really about; it’s bigger than what we do out there on the floor. Those guys, they put their lives on the line. For their family, that was big time. I’m happy for them.”
