Chelsea Clinton was spotted out in the Hamptons over the weekend, enjoying a weekend away with her husband Marc Mezvinsky.
The pair were spotted out to dinner on Friday night in Amagansett and then out again the following morning as they went to grab coffee with a friend.
Chelsea, 37, was taking a break after promoting her bestselling book ‘She Persisted’ for the past month.
Her husband, 39, does not currently have a job, so was taking a break from his days of taking a break in New York City.
Chelsea kept off social media during her trip out to the exclusive and ritzy Long Island hamlet, but got right back to work upon her return by firing back at President Donald Trump for a tweet her wrote about the former First Daughter.
President Trump responded to the backlash over his decision to send daughter Ivanka to a G20 summit meeting in his place last week by bringing up Chelsea and her famous mother Hillary.
‘If Chelsea Clinton were asked to hold the seat for her mother,as her mother gave our country away, the Fake News would say CHELSEA FOR PRES!’ wrote President Trump on Twitter Monday morning.
Chelsea quickly responded to the commander-in-chief, writing: ‘Good morning Mr. President. It would never have occurred to my mother or my father to ask me. Were you giving our country away? Hoping not.’
She also tweeted out on Sunday: ‘Does anyone else think President Trump might benefit from reading Aesop’s Fables? The Cat, The Rooster & The Mouse? The Eagle and The Arrow?’
A few hours after Ivanka filled in for her father at the G20, Chelsea was spotted out on her coffee run, wearing a long tie-dye dress and orange baseball cap from the 2012 US Open.
Marc meanwhile wore a pair of billowing seersucker shorts that extended past his knees with a gray shirt.
The pair were joined by a friend who kept covered up in sweatpants and a sweat shirt, along with over-sized black sunglasses.
Photos show the two appearing to be a bit lost after their coffee run, with both husband and wife having to stop and try to figure out where they are going once back on the street.
Chelsea and Marc also enjoyed night out free of their two children on Friday, grabbing dinner in the same Hamptons town.
The Clinton often rent beach houses in Amagansett, with Hillary and Bill most recently getting one back in 2015 a few months after she announced her candidacy for president.
That summer they rented a four-bedroom home from Republican donor and art collector Andre Nasser and his real estate guru wife, Lois – for the secxond staright year.
It cost $50,000 a week.
The Clintons have not rented a house together since that time, though Hillary was out plenty of times for fundraisers during her campaign.
