9/11 will always be a day that we will remember. Where we were, who we were with, who we lost, and the heroes who rose up and stood tall to save their fellow Americans.
What is should not be remembered for is having any resemblance to the Trump election victory! Now disgraced Democratic candidate (and Former U.S. congressman) Tom Perriello for Virginia said:
“The election of Donald Trump was a little bit like, you know, a political and constitutional Sept. 11 for us, if I can be honest,” Perriello said Friday during a campaign stop in Afton, Virginia. The Washington Free Beacon published video footage Wednesday of Perriello making the comparison. Virginia is the home of the Pentagon, where nearly 200 people died on 9/11.
This is disgusting! It was only after the video was posted online that Perriello offered a weak apology over Twitter:
I regret the comparison and apologize. Won't do it again. https://t.co/5KEDysdKTX

His apology did not go down well with Twitter users:
Tom Perriello’s 9/11 comparison is offensive. His calculated outrage is becoming increasingly outrageous. https://t.co/ue90a0mzja
